Soaring Chicken Farm started with 4 chickens, a love for gardening and nature, and a passion to make a difference. We are recognized for our love of God, love for people, and building community.
Our mission is to connect others to God, the resources that He has provided for us, and empower individuals & communities to work together to use the land and resources that surround us.
We are able to do this by offering a variety of outdoor, hands on experiences in a natural farm environment. We are not a commercial farm; We are dedicated to building community and self-sustainability. We teach practical skills to live off the land, deepen your connection with God’s creation, and use the resources He’s provided. We believe that no matter your walk of life, your trials can become triumphs, and there is always beauty to be found. Come find peace and witness the work God is doing here.
Have you ever wanted to learn how to milk a goat? Or how to collect honey from a hive of bees? Our ministry offers countless opportunities like these for all ages, to interact hands on with animals, learn about healthy soil, growing your own food, beekeeping, agriculture & life skills courses , plus so much more. The foundation of our ministry is to be an extension of the love of God and share with others all that He has provided for us. We build community, invest in and empower others, all while giving back and restoring the earth.
The choices we make about food dramatically effect the larger creation and our fellow human beings. The connection to God, the soil, habitats, creatures and humans who cultivate and provide the components of our food often get forgotten.
We offer hands on training that teaches the importance of agriculture and promotes self sustainable living.
We love tapping into our creative side here on the farm, and we are always up to something fun and new. From painting bee boxes, to creating masterpieces from gourds, and even painting goats! We offer a variety of fun arts and crafts activities for all ages.
Farm animals in our programs play a supportive role in connection and healing. Domesticated animals, such as pigs, chickens, & goats make up the majority of animals that provide close contact with both adults and children.
Put on a bee suit and get up close and personal with one of our beehives. Learn all there is to know about how to care for honey bees, their different life cycle stages, and the important role they play in our ecosystem. Not a fan of getting close to the bees? That is ok too. We love sharing about our bees and offer other class options customized for your comfort.
Life Skills classes and summer camps promote confidence, healing and provide tools and training to gain independence. Classes offered vary from survival courses, backpacking adventures, hiking, goat packing, foraging, hunting, bee keeping, and much more!
Seeing the importance in agriculture and farming, as well as the need for love and community, we formed our ministry. We provide a safe environment with many different opportunities for growth, confidence building, and empowerment, all while sharing the love of Jesus Christ. We are consistently growing and thank the helping hands of this amazing community for all of your support!
To help heal, empower and educate others while spreading the love of Jesus. Our goal is to create community that will inspire both children and adults, to engage in, learn about, and enjoy agriculture and the natural environment and resources God has provided for us. Our volunteers and donors provide the momentum that allow us to grow in hope while creating community.
Connect. Engage. Serve.
Our amazing team of regulars and part-time volunteers are committed to helping others and are a huge blessing to our farm ministry. We love having families volunteer together, and much of our daily chore list is completed by groups of individual adults, parents and kids working side by side. Think you would be a good fit?
